The UISPP Journal follows a platinum/diamond open-access model. All articles are freely available online immediately upon publication, with no fees charged to authors or readers, nor any requirement for readers to register in order to access contents. Our open-access approach aligns with the principles of open science and open scholarship, as first articulated by the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). We are committed to removing barriers to accessing and sharing research outputs. The costs of publication are covered by the Union Internationale des Sciences Préhistoriques et Protohistoriques through its support of this journal.
By embracing a non-commercial, community-driven model, we aim to promote bibliodiversity and equitable participation in scholarly communications across different disciplinary fields, languages, and regions. We uphold rigorous peer review and editorial standards to ensure high-quality research is openly disseminated for the benefit of the global knowledge commons.
